Description
The Anchor Inn is a building likely originating from the 17th century, featuring rendered walls and a Purbeck Stone roof. It is divided into three sections: the center section is three storeys high, while the side sections are two storeys, although they do not match in design. The western section has a flush panelled door beneath a gabled hood and one double-hung sash window on each floor. The center section includes one double-hung sash window on the ground floor, a projecting curved end bow window with double-hung sashes and glazing bars, and a flat roof on the first floor, along with two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars on the second floor. The eastern section features a door with a semi-circular fanlight under a gabled porch, one double-hung sash window on the ground floor, and another double-hung sash window with glazing bars on the first floor.
