Description
The School and Schoolhouse, dated 1839, features ashlar walls and a gable-ended roof covered with fish-tail tiles. The building has end stone copings with capped square finials and kneelers. The schoolhouse forms a cross-wing to the left and includes ashlar stacks at the rear gable and along the ridge. The school has a central projecting porch and is a single storey structure, while the schoolhouse is 1½ storeys tall. The school has a six-window range with square-headed windows that contain 20th-century horizontally pivoting casements. The schoolhouse features a canted oriel on the first floor. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear.
