Description
Thanes Farmhouse is a house, likely built in the mid-18th century, with alterations and additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of coursed, squared rubble and features a tiled, gable-ended roof with end brick stacks and a slated rear wing. The building has a moulded string course and stands two storeys tall with a four-window range. The windows are 20th-century, two-light casements with glazing bars. The central window on the upper floor is a bulls-eye window with a stone architrave that includes keystones and imposts. There is a central doorway. Inside, notable features include chamfered ceiling beams.
