This is a range of terraced houses at 3 to 13 Downes Street, built between 1792 and 1795. The houses were laid out by Samuel and William Downe. They are constructed of red brick with a stucco string course marking the second floor. Number 13 has a decorative cornice with modillion detailing. The windows are sashes with glazing bars. Each house has a single doorway, arranged in pairs, with six moulded panels, a semi-circular fanlight above, moulded imposts, and transoms.
