Millhouse, appears to be an early C19 rebuild of an earlier building. Eastern part of squared, coursed rubble and western part of brick (English bond). Half-hipped slate roof. Stable door reached up flight of steps. 3 storeys. Wooden windows, some with casements, under wooden lintels and segmental brick arches. Machinery by Armfield, c 1900, nearly complete. 2 sets of grindstones. Wooden undershot wheel somewhat decayed and of earlier origin than machinery. RCHM, Dorset, vol III, p 117.
