Description

Garden House, part of Delcome Manor, was built around 1750 using medieval materials from Milton Abbey. The structure features walls primarily made of flint with stone banding, some plastered areas, and tiled roofs with coped gables and finials, along with a central brick chimney stack.

To the left, there is a single-storey range attached to the screen wall of Delcombe Manor, constructed with stone and flint banding and topped with a tiled hipped roof. This section has a loop window in the center, flanked by slit windows that are rounded at the top and bottom.

The main block is two storeys high with mostly plastered walls that reveal traces of stone and flint. The front has three gables, with the center gable slightly projecting and supported by diagonal buttresses. The ground floor of this gable features two 20th-century metal windows, while the first floor has one similar window.

In the left gable, the ground floor includes a two-light square-headed stone mullioned window with arched lights, and the first floor has a casement window with cast iron glazing. The right gable has a diagonal buttress at the right end, with a two-light square-headed stone mullioned window with arched lights on the ground floor and a 20th-century metal window above it.

To the right of the main block, there is a wing wall made of stone and flint banding, which retains some remains of a former gable at its right end. The rear of the building features later brickwork.
