Description
Abbots Barton is a detached farmhouse with origins dating back to the 17th century. It was enlarged to the west, likely in the 18th and early 19th centuries. The walls are constructed with a combination of flint and brick banding on the left section, brick in the center, and rubble stone on the right. The roof is made of artificial stone slate, featuring one brick chimney stack at the left end and another near the center. The building has two storeys and includes a ledged door and a stable door near the right end. Both the ground and first floors have four casement windows with glazing bars. There is a lean-to garage extension at the left end made of brick with a tiled roof. Inside, one ground floor room features a large open fireplace with a timber lintel, and there are some exposed ceiling beams.
