Description
The House and Barn at Barn Dairy is an 18th-century building featuring a house with an attached barn. The house is constructed with stone walls and has a roof that is partly stone slated and partly tiled, with a central brick stack. It has an L-shaped plan and is two storeys high, with a single-storey lean-to at the front. The front has a ledged door, and both the ground and first floors are fitted with casement windows that have glazing bars. The attached barn also has stone walls, but its roof has been replaced with corrugated asbestos instead of the original stone slates. The barn includes a large projecting cart porch with a hipped roof, and its front lean-to is continuous with the lean-to on the house. The internal roof structure of the barn has been renewed.
