Description
The churchyard boundary wall to the Church of St Ann, located on Radipole Lane in Weymouth, is possibly from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed from squared and coursed rubble, topped with a stone-on-edge course beneath a weathered parapet, and features ashlar piers. Opposite the church's entrance porch, there are square Portland stone piers with flat stepped pyramidal cappings on square bases, which are integrated into later paving on the right side. The wall, approximately 1.5 meters high but decreasing in height with the rise of the street, extends the full width of the churchyard and returns to the end gable of the Manor House. On the left side, the wall is similar but consists of a series of four steps, extending about 14 meters. Beyond this section, the wall is variously overgrown and broken down, lacking coping.
