Description

Fusee Steps is an inclined tramway and steps built around 1860. It features three flights of steps with low flanking walls made of rendered brick. On these walls, there are wrought-iron plate rails that create an inclined tramway designed for trolleys with double-flange wheels. This structure was constructed to facilitate the transportation of ammunition, spares, and stores from the quay to Nothe Fort.
