Description

Lower Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from around 1700, featuring rubble-stone walls and a thatch roof with stone gable copings. It has brick stacks at both the left and right gables and stands two storeys tall with three windows. The windows are three-light wooden casements topped with 19th-century segmental stone heads. The front door is centrally located and has a stone beaded surround and a stone cornice above a wooden door with nine glass panes, which is from the 20th century.

To the left is a former dairy and chicken-house, built with the same materials, which is one and a half storeys high and has about four windows, including two and three-light wooden casements in dressed stone surrounds. There is a plank door at the left end, also from the 20th century.

Attached to the farmhouse are two square stone gate-piers with stone gable copings, dating from the 18th century. A rubble-stone wall extends approximately 10 metres to the southeast and features ramped coping stones. In front, there are iron railings with arrow-head finials and a gate, set on a stone sleeper-wall.
