CORSCOMBE CORSCOMBE VILLAGE Lower Farmhouse with attached Gate-Piers and ramped wall to south

Farmhouse. c1700. Rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof with stone gable- copings. Brick stacks at left and right hand gables. 2 storeys. 3 windows. 3-light wooden casements with C19 segmental stone heads. Front door at centre, with stone beaded surround and stone cornice over wooden door with 9 glass panes, C20. Left hand end: former dairy and chicken- house: same materials. 1 1/2 storeys. c4 windows. 2 and 3-light wooden casements in dressed stone surrounds. Plank door at left hand end, C20. Attached square stone gate-piers (2) with stone gable-copings c C18. Rubble- stone wall runs for cl0 metres south-east and has ramped coping-stones. Iron railings to front area, with arrow-head finials and gate, on a stone sleeper-wall.
