Description
No. 60 is a house in a row, built in the mid to late 18th century, and was originally constructed as a pair with the adjoining No. 58. It was refenestrated in the mid 19th century. The building is made of large squared and coursed stone blocks and has a slate roof. The front block is part of the row, while at the back, there is a smaller parallel gabled block built into the hillside. The house has two storeys and an attic, featuring a two-windowed facade.
There is a central hipped eaves dormer that contains a small two-light casement window, situated above four-pane sash windows that flank a gabled porch. The porch has side lights and a 20th-century door. A stone stack is located on the left, raised in stone with a capping, while the right stack is shared with No. 58. At the back, there is a small hipped eaves dormer and a small attached outbuilding with raised verges.
