Description
The Buildings are a row of twelve cottages dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of cob with a thatched roof, the right-hand side being half-hipped. Brick stacks are positioned at intervals along the ridge. A continuous brick slated out-shut is located at the rear. The cottages extend over two storeys and feature a 24-window range. They have two-light timber casement windows with glazing bars; those on the ground floor are set beneath segmental brick heads. Each cottage has a central gabled porch with a plank door. Passages allow access between the front and rear of the range. It is believed that this is one of the longest continuously thatched ranges in the country.
