Description

Hollands House is a detached house, originally a farmhouse, dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of brick walls in English bond, with a thatched roof and brick end stacks. The house is two storeys high and has a plat band at first-floor level on the left-hand section. A brick porch with thick walls and a plinth is located near the left end of the front, containing a 20th-century panelled door. To the left of the door is a small recess, possibly for a lamp. The ground floor has three casement windows with glazing bars. Those to the right of the porch are set beneath segmental arches, while the window to the left has a timber lintel. The first floor also has three casement windows with glazing bars. A 20th-century garage extension has been added to the right end. A ground-floor room on the right end features a large open fireplace with a timber lintel. Some exposed ceiling beams are visible within the house.
