Description

The revetment walling of a fish-hatch, located 25 metres north-north-west of Lyscombe Cottage, is a structure of uncertain date. It features coursed rubble stone walls that are 0.5 metres high and 5 metres long on each side, creating an internal width of 2.5 metres between the revetting walls. The south (downstream) end of the walling curves to form a narrow hatchway, which is slightly deteriorated on the south-west side. The exit of the hatchway, lacking proper jambs, measures 0.5 metres in width.
