Description
- WEYMOUTH AVENUE 5191 (East Side) Brewhouse of Messrs Eldridge Pope's Brewery. SY 6990 7/310 II GV 2. 1880. Architect G R Crickmay of Weymouth. Brown, yellow and red brick. 3 storeys and attics. Moulded stone eaves cornice and parapet. 12 ranges of industrial windows with iron glazing bars, articulated by arched pilasters. 4 east bays are taller and have attic feature, viz: low flanking parapets surmounted by scrolled ashlar consoles to taller central parapet, divided by 4 pilasters with crowning stone urns: between pilasters are 2 round-arched panels, and 1 circular panel with elaborate moulded terra-cotta swag. West elevation has 3 curious shaped gables corresponding with pitch of roofs. All the listed buildings at Messrs Eldridge Pope's Brewery form a group.]
