Description
The Maltings of Messrs Eldridge Pope's Brewery, built in 1879, is a two-storey structure made of brown, red, and yellow brick with a slate roof. The east end of the building is taller and features a gabled design with the ridge oriented at 90 degrees to the building's axis, adorned with elaborate bargeboards. There are 13 ranges of segment-headed planked openings, along with two pilaster strips and brick machicolations beneath the eaves. A panel displaying a shield with the EP monogram is also present. The west end has two pyramidal roofs equipped with ventilators. This building is part of a group of listed structures associated with Messrs Eldridge Pope's Brewery.
