Description
Worgret Manor Hotel is a small manor house from the early 19th century that now operates as a hotel. The building features plastered walls, possibly made of cob in the front range, and has a hipped tiled roof with stone eaves courses and a central brick chimney. It has a T-shaped plan and is two storeys high. The front entrance includes a pair of glazed doors set within a 20th-century glazed porch, which may incorporate the original hood. On the ground floor, there are two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three similar windows. The rear wing, built in a similar style, was extended in the 20th century and includes two round-headed dormers. There is a lower attached range on the west side, likely originally stables, which also features double-hung sash windows. At the rear, there are 20th-century single-storey flat-roofed additions. Inside, there is a cut string staircase with shaped spandril brackets and a wreathed handrail, along with some panelled doors that have reeded architraves. The front boundary wall is made of brick and includes brick piers topped with stone caps and onion-shaped finials, likely built at the same time as the house.
