Description
This railway bridge, built in 1847 for the Southampton and Dorchester Railway, is located to the north-west of West Mill over the River Piddle. It features red brick construction with three arches: the two outer arches are made of red brick, while the central arch is a flat iron span. The south-west arch is a contemporary skew arch, and the north-east arch has been mainly renewed. The bridge is supported by broad battered buttresses and has quadrant retaining walls at either end to support the embankment. The bridge, along with West Mill and West Mill Farm House, forms a group of related structures.
