Farm cottages, now house. Mid C19. Front is rendered, part of returns, and back in brick and flint banding; slate roofs. Formerly two cottages, associated with the model farm (q.v.) which lies immediately to the west. Two parallel blocks, each with hipped roofs, joined at a central valley, and the front block loftier than the back. Front is 2 storeys, 2 + 2 windows, all small-paned 2-light casements with central wood mullion but iron lights. To left, centred on first unit, a Cl9 panelled door. Central ridge brick stack. Cropped stack on left return, large C20 casements on right return. Back block has mainly 2-light iron casements, as front, and a projecting one floor hipped central extension. One eaves brick stack. Interiors not inspected. An essential element in the group with the model rant created by Lord Portman on his estate.
