Description

This is an early 18th-century cottage situated in Durweston village. The building has rendered, colour-washed walls and a hipped thatched roof. A central brick stack is present. A later extension to the right features colour-washed flint and brick walls with banded detailing. The cottage is 1½ storeys high with an irregular five-window range. On the ground floor, there is a three-light casement window with leaded lights on the left side, and three 2-light 20th-century windows with leaded lights to the right. The upper floor contains two dormers, each with a five-light, wrought-iron casement with leaded lights. A part-glazed, plank stable door is located to the left of the building's facade.
