Description

No. 8, Water Lane is a cottage dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of brick with bands of flint, and has a thatched roof punctuated by end brick stacks. Originally, the cottage was symmetrical, but later outshuts have been added. The arrangement is two storeys, with a three-window front. The ground floor windows are set under segmental brick arches and contain 2-light casements with horizontal glazing bars. A former central doorway has been blocked, and a plain plank door is located to the right.
