Description

Durweston Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse with 19th-century extensions and alterations. The front is rendered, while the rear is constructed in English-bond brickwork. It features a tiled roof with rendered and moulded stacks at each end. The building is likely to have originally been symmetrical and consists of two storeys with a four-window range. The right-hand bay may be a 19th-century extension. On the ground floor, the left side has a 19th-century canted bay with four-pane sash windows. The remaining windows are 16-pane sashes. The second bay from the left includes a doorcase with fluted pilasters and carved consoles that support a cornice, above which is a six flush-panel door with a transom light above.
