Description
House and cottage, likely originating around 1800 with significant alterations in the 19th century. Corner Farm Cottage occupies the right side, and Corner Farm sits to the left. The buildings are constructed of coursed rubble stone. The right-hand range has a stone slate roof, while the left-hand range has a thatched roof. The right-hand range features end stacks and a gabled end, and the left-hand range has a stack located to the right of centre beneath a half-hipped roof. The right-hand range is symmetrical, with two storeys and three bays. The left-hand range is single-storey with an attic, which has a single forward-facing dormer window. The right-hand range has a central door recessed within a 19th-century tiled porch, flanked by two-light wooden casement windows with glazing bars. The upper floor windows of the right-hand range each have four panes. All window openings in the right-hand range are framed by segmental stone arches. The left-hand range features two-light wooden casement windows with only horizontal glazing bars; the door is situated to the right of centre and similarly framed by a segmental stone arch. The roof of the right-hand range appears to have been raised and may have originally resembled that of the left-hand range.
