Description
Gould and unidentified monuments are located 2 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Nicholas. These are two table tombs dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, made of stone. The first tomb has plain sides and ends, featuring a large chamfered cornice and top block, with the inscription "TA 1587" in lead. The second tomb has two panels on each side, surrounded by modillion-moulded surrounds, a foliage frieze, a moulded cornice, and a hipped top block. This tomb is dedicated to Joan Gould, who died on August 31st, 1645.
