Description

The Phoenix is a detached cottage dating from the mid-18th century, with some internal alterations made in the 20th century. It features rubblestone and dressed stone walls, and a thatched roof that is gabled at both ends. There is a brick stack located at the center of the ridge. The cottage has one and a half storeys and includes two windows: one with two lights and another with three lights, both made of wood with horizontal glazing bars and wooden cills. Eyebrow dormers are positioned above the windows. The central entrance has a plank door with ornamental hinges, which is a 20th-century addition. The porch is supported by stone piers and is also gabled, dating from the 20th century.
