Description
This is a terrace of four houses at 18-21 Bath Street, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. The houses are constructed of Flemish bond brickwork, although numbers 19-21 have been rendered. They have slate roofs and three storeys. Each house has a single window to the front. The windows are glazing-bar sashes with varying numbers of panes; the second floor windows have nine panes, except at number 19 which has twelve. The first floor features an oriel bow window with an eight, twelve, and eight-pane arrangement, topped with a dentil cornice. The ground floor windows contain twelve panes. To the left of each house is a flat, elliptical stone archway, divided into three sections, containing a 20th-century door and a small, plain fanlight. A small stone plinth is visible, along with plain bands at the first and second floors. A small moulded cornice sits above the first floor, followed by a blocking course and a coped parapet. The end houses are slightly higher than the central ones; the roof and chimney stacks are not visible from the street. The interiors have not been inspected.
