Description

CORSCOMBE CATSLEY LANE ST 50 SW 5/201 Stables and attached Cart-Shed 30 metres south-west of Catsley Farmhouse GV II

Stables c1800. Rubble-stone walls with stone quoins and stone gable- copings with obelisk finials. Slate and corrugated iron roof. Stables with loft over. 2 windows, renewed wooden shutters and stone lintels. 2 shutters over, to loft openings. Doorway at centre, with keyed stone lintel and stone jambs, rebated inside. Small single stable, attached at right hand. Cart-Shed of 5 bays with a stone rear wall, on an open front supported on 4 wooden posts with stone bases, Slate roof. Stone gable- coping at right hand end with finial at apex.
