Description

No. 185 on Brandy Lane is a small house located at the end of a row, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of small coursed and squared stone, with a rendered gable and a slate roof. The house has two storeys and features a single window. The windows are 16-pane sashes, and to the right, there is a 20th-century door. Both the door and the windows have flush plain lintels, and there are large flush quoins at the right end. A brick ridge stack is located on the left side. This cottage is one of three that were likely built after the destruction caused by the great storm of 1824.
