Description

Howe's Eype is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. The building features red brick walls laid in Flemish bond on a stone plinth, and it has a slate roof with three stone gable copings and kneelers. There are three brick stacks at the gables and one at the inner gable, which were renewed in the 20th century. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has four windows on the main house, with two additional windows at the south end, which is an early extension. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, and the window heads are adorned with fine gauged brickwork.

Attached to the farmhouse is a kitchen garden wall on the north side, which encloses an area measuring 40 metres by 20 metres. This wall is made of rubble stone and features coping stones. Additionally, there is a brick wall from around 1800 on the east side, which displays a diaper lozenge pattern.
