Description
BEAMINSTER NORTH STREET, ST 4701/4801 (NORTH SIDE) 7/112 Kitchen Garden Walls and Entrance Gate c. 100 metres east of Manor House. GV II
Kitchen Garden Wall, forming a large rectangle c. 100 metres by c. 50 metres, situated c. 100 metres east of Manor House. c. C18. Ashlar and rubble-stone walls with coping-stones. Entrance gate on west side has C16 polygonal buttresses brought from Clifton Maybank, concave sides with different moulding to each stage; wave, bowtell, bracket and panel. Onion- dome finials. The 2-centred doorway has moulded jambs and a carved stone eagle on a plinth.
