Description

No. 4 Church Lane is a building dating from 1615, with a 19th-century front that is best viewed from Park Walk. It is two storeys high, featuring a slate roof and constructed of stone rubble with brick dressings. The ground floor has a large pair of segmental-headed wooden boarded doors. To the left, there is a nine flush panelled door set in a segmental arch, with the top five panels being small, cut away, and glazed. To the right, there is another wooden boarded door in a segmental-headed arch with rubbed brick dressings. Above these, there are windows and a loft door. The south side has a stone slab verge to the roof. No. 4 is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 8 (even), Priory House, a dwarf wall, railings, and gate piers to Priory House.
