Description

Southmead Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of dressed stone with a thatched roof, hipped at the west end, half-hipped at the north end, and with a straight gable at the east end. Brick stacks are located on the east gable and at the west eaves. The building is arranged in an L-shape. It is two storeys high and has two windows, each with a three-light wooden casement and glazing-bars. The wooden sills are original. A front door, positioned centrally, is made of planks with six glass lights. A 20th-century thatch porch canopy covers the door.
