Description
Marsh House is a house dating from the 18th century, with early 19th century extensions. It features brick walls in Flemish bond, a plinth, a first floor band, and rubbed flat arches. The roof is tiled, with stone slates on the lowest courses. The symmetrical southeast front elevation has two storeys and an attic, with three windows, a single-storeyed outshot at the west end, and a two-storeyed extension at the rear. The windows are sashes in exposed frames. The plain doorway has a 6-panelled door, with the top four panels being glazed, and there are traces of a former case or porch. At the rear, there is a wood framed pump with a lead hopper, which features raised decoration along with the date and letters 1798 ED.
