Description
Newton Peverill Manor is a house that dates from the mid-18th century, with later alterations in the mid-19th and 20th centuries. The walls are made of brickwork in Flemish bond and are covered in cement. The front features a plinth and a first-floor band, while the roof is tiled with stone slates on the lowest course. The end stacks are panelled and cemented.
The symmetrical south front elevation has two storeys and an attic, with five windows, and a lower service wing on the west side that has been altered and extended forward. The windows are sashes set in reveals. The doorway features an architrave with a moulded cornice on brackets, leading to a six-panelled door above four stone steps.
In front, there is a terrace with a brick retaining wall and a central flight of six steps leading down to a lower forecourt, which is enclosed by walls. The rear of the building has irregular extensions that are of a vernacular form.
