Description

This cottage, located at 15 High Street, dates from the early 18th century to the early 19th century, with some restoration in the 20th century. The walls are made of flint and ironstone rubble, featuring large stone quoins, while the upper walls are constructed in brickwork using Flemish bond. The roof is thatched and half-hipped, with eaves that are raised above the upper windows. The north front elevation has one storey and an attic, with two windows above three. The windows are casements, and there is a plain doorway topped with a tiled gable supported by coupled posts. The east and south elevations suggest that the original roof had a catslide at the rear.
