Description
Haymakers is a detached house located in Lower Halstock, dating from the early 19th century and re-roofed in the 20th century. The building features dressed stone walls and a concrete pantile roof with stone gable copings. It has brick stacks at the gable ends, which are from the 19th and 20th centuries. The house is two storeys high and has three windows, each with three-light wood casements that include horizontal glazing bars and wood cills, which were renewed in the 20th century. Stone lintels and projecting stone keys are present above the windows. The front door, located at the center, is a flush-panelled design from the 19th century and is sheltered by a flat stone canopy supported by moulded stone brackets. There is a 20th-century extension at the west gable end, but this part is not considered of special interest.
