Description
The premises occupied by C B Brett and Sons is a building from around the 18th century located on Half Moon Street. It features a stone front that rises two storeys with an attic and has four window bays. The roof is tiled and there are four box dormers. At each end of the building, there are two-storey splayed bays, with Georgian sash windows on the upper storeys. On the ground floor, between the bay windows, there are two plate glass shop windows and a glazed door with a painted advertisement board above. The building consists of two parallel ranges, with the right-hand return of the rear range having two windows on the first floor in the gable end and a plate glass shop window below. There is also a wing of five bays at the rear. This building forms a group with The Corner House, the premises occupied by Sherborne Supermarket, The Plume of Feathers Hotel, and The House of Steps, all located on Half Moon Street.
