Description
The gatehouse and south courtyard walls to Cranborne Manor House date from the early 17th century and have undergone various alterations. The walls are constructed of English bond brickwork topped with tiled coping. The gatehouse features English-bond brickwork and has pyramidal roofs with stone-slate margins. It includes a central gateway flanked by two small, two-storey lodges set at an angle. The gateway is made of ashlar and has a moulded, semi-circular arch, above which are two brick merlons. The lodges are designed with square-headed stone-mullioned windows that have returned labels.
