Description

This is a row of 18th-century buildings on West Street, with No. 92 having a stuccoed facade. The roof is slate-covered, and there are red brick stacks. The buildings are three storeys high.

The ground floor features a variety of shop fronts and entrances. From left to right, there’s a contemporary segmental bay shop front with intact iron brackets and glazing bars, a planked door in a moulded surround, a 19th-century sash window with glazing bars, another 19th-century shop front with glazing bars and a cornice, and a flush-panelled door with a surround featuring reeded pilasters and a transom. The first floor has three sash windows with glazing bars. The second floor has three casement windows with glazing bars, with No. 92 having a Yorkshire style casement.

Nos. 88 to 94 (even) and No. 98 form a group with West Bridge.
