Description
Manor Farmhouse, including the front gate piers, is an early 18th-century farmhouse located in Sixpenny Handley. It is constructed of chequerwork flint and squared rubble, topped with a tiled roof that has stone slate margins and end stone copings. The building features projecting chimney breasts with triplets of diagonally set square brick flues. It stands two storeys high with attics and has a symmetrical five-window range, showcasing 12-pane sash windows with stone lintels that bear keystones. The central entrance has a panelled doorway with a segmental hood above it. There are three gabled dormers, each with 2-light casements that include glazing bars.
Inside, the farmhouse features a staircase with cut strings and turned balusters. The front gate piers are made of ashlar and have moulded caps topped with ball finials.
