Description

Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 18th century. It features dressed stone walls, a slate roof, and stone gable copings. There are two brick stacks, one located just left of the center and another at the right-hand gable. The building has a front range and a rear wing, with two storeys and five windows arranged in a symmetrical facade. The ground floor windows have three-light stone mullions that are hollow-chamfered, with separate labels above them, while the integral stone cills are present on all windows. The first-floor windows do not have labels, and the mullions to the right of the center are replacements. The central front doorway has a projecting stone key and features a six-panelled door with two top lights, which is from the 19th century. The rear range has the same stone walls but a patent tile roof with stone gable coping and a brick stack at the rear gable. It also includes 20th-century metal casements.

In front of the farmhouse is an attached wall made of chert rubble with stone coping, which ramps at the corners and leads to central gate piers. The two gate piers are made of ashlar stone and feature a heavy moulded cornice and necking, topped with large ball finials. The sides of the gate piers are rebated and have a scroll-top design, dating from the 18th century.
