Description
Church Farm House is an early 18th-century house with attached farm buildings, located in Beer Hackett village. The main house has rubble stone walls, with the front wall plastered. It features a thatched roof with a coped gable at the left end and brick end stacks. The building has an L-shaped layout. A rear wing is constructed of rubble stone with a slate roof. The house is two stories high, and includes a thatched stone porch with a 20th-century ledged door. The ground floor has two 20th-century bay windows with casements containing lead lights, and the first floor has three 20th-century casements with lead lights. Inside, some exposed ceiling beams are visible. Attached to the house on the right is a two-story farm building of rubble stone with a slate roof, a coped gable, and 20th-century windows; it has been converted into residential use. To the right of this is a single-story farm building of stone with a double Roman tile roof, also converted for residential purposes. The buildings are included on the list for their group value.
