Description

This is a farmhouse with attached barns, dating from 1707. The house is constructed of rubble stone with a thatched roof, featuring coped gables and brick end stacks. It is two storeys and has an attic. A gabled porch with a tiled roof fronts the entrance, containing an inner ledged door set within a 4-centred stone arch. On the ground floor are two 4-light stone mullioned windows with leaded lights, each set beneath a hoodmould. A small oval window is located on either side of the porch. The first floor has three 3-light stone mullioned windows with leaded lights and hoodmoulds. In the attic are two inset ormers, one with a shutter and one with timber mullioned windows and leaded lights. The interior is not accessible. Attached to the right end of the house are outbuildings, constructed in the 18th and 19th centuries, with rubble stone walls and slate and tile roofs. A barn is attached to the rear of the house, at the left end; it is of rubble stone construction with a corrugated iron roof over thatch.
