ST GENNYS CRACKINGTON HAVEN SX 19 NE 5/49 Tremayna Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C17 with C18/C19 alterations and C20 additions at rear. Rendered slatestone rubble with steeply-pitched slate roof laid in diminishing courses, originally thatched. Range 1 room deep of 2 different builds with stacks to gable ends and axial stack. To left of break in roof line range is roughly symmetrical with entrance into stair hall; to right of break in roof line range probably earlier with cob gable end stack. 2-storey front with 3 first-floor windows and 4 ground floor windows. Enclosed entrance porch with sloping slate roof. Ground floor window left renewed casement; sash to right of porch. In earlier part of front: 2 light casement with glazing bars; ground floor right 2-light casement under longer slate drip ledge. First floor windows: 2 4-light casements under raking roofs projecting slightly above eaves line; sash in earlier range. 3 C20 extensions at rear. Ground floor room at right end of range has roughly-hewn ceiling beams and slate floor.
