Description

Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse with origins dating back to the 17th century, which was altered and extended in the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features stone slate roofs. The building consists of two one-room, two-storey sections, each incorporating brick. There is a south stack, and the original range to the south has four-pane sash windows on each floor, with the lower sash featuring a timber lintel and the upper sash set within a frame of a mullion window. A door is located to the right, and there are heavy cornerstones at the south end, which also has a lean-to. The rear of the farmhouse includes a hipped dormer and sash windows on each floor. The slightly taller north range has a twelve-pane sash window above a sixteen-pane sash window at the front, with similar sashes at the rear and a triple casement in the attic at the north end. Inside, there is one heavy chamfered beam in the south section.
