4/91 Barn and piggery adjoining Penvith - Farmhouse on east

Barn and piggery, now store and outside W.C. Barn circa late C18 and piggery added in circa. mid C19. Stone rubble. Barn with slate roof with half-hipped ends. Adjoins house, projecting from angle of stair projection and lower end of hall and continuing re-orientated front elevation forming north side of farmyard. 2-storeys symmetrical 2-window front with first floor window openings and line of pigeon holes below eaves. Rear elevation with window opening in ground floor and door with concrete lintel to right. Casement window above. Entrance to first floor in half-hipped end. Timber steps up to entrance. Adjoining half-hipped end of barn, the piggery continues along the north side of the farmyard. High stone rubble wall to rear with steeply pitched rag slate lean-to roof. 3 blocked openings in front elevation. Included for group value with farmhouse forming integral part of farmstead.
