Description

Hicks Monument is an early 19th-century chest tomb located about 17 meters northwest of the tower of the Church of St Stephen in St Stephen-in-Brannel. It is made of granite and features a slate inscription tablet. The tomb has a rectangular shape and rests on a squared plinth with plain pilasters. The flat top has a moulded edge, and the inscription tablet is set into the top. The monument commemorates Walter Hicks and is dated 1812.
