Description

The Court is a pair of attached cottages dating from the early to mid 19th century. They are constructed of slate rubble and feature a slurried scantle slate roof with gabled ends and lower eaves at the rear. The cottages have brick gable end stacks, with the left-hand end stack and the axial stack to the right of center being rendered.

The cottages have a double depth plan, consisting of three main rooms at the front with doorways between them, and an integral outshut at the back that likely contains shallow service rooms. They are positioned at right angles to the road, with the right-hand cottage having a doorway onto the road in the right side of the outshut.

The exterior is two storeys high with a symmetrical three-window south front. The windows are small openings with slate sills, while the larger ground floor windows and the two doorways feature flat brick arches. The first-floor windows are 20th-century four-pane sashes, and the ground floor windows are late 20th-century with top-opening lights. The two doorways, located to the right and left of center, have 20th-century plank glazed doors and gabled slated canopies. The right-hand end facing the road has small 20th-century casements on both the ground and first floors, along with a 20th-century glazed door to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
