Description
The Tuckingmill Hotel is a public house, likely built in the mid to late 19th century, with some alterations. It is constructed from coursed squared killas rubble, featuring granite quoins and dressings, and has a slate roof. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys high with three symmetrical bays. The central doorway includes a six-panel door and an overlight inscribed with "TUCKINGMILL HOTEL," which is sheltered by a porch supported by two square columns with moulded caps, a plain frieze, and a moulded cornice. The windows are 12-pane unhorned sashes, each with quoined surrounds, although modern hooped folding canopies have been added to the ground-floor windows. The hipped roof has prominent projecting eaves and side-wall chimneys. The sides and rear of the building are not of special interest, and the interior has been altered.
